We seek a motivated and well rounded, full-time Foreman/Operator with site & asphalt experience.
The Paul J. Rogan Co., Inc is a 3rd generation, family-owned General Contracting & Site/Asphalt business that has been serving the Boston/New England area since 1932. We are based out of Braintree, MA. We provide construction rehabilitation/restoration/site services to the Municipal, Federal, Commercial, Housing Authority, Historic Restoration, Residential and Retail sectors of the building market.
Join our dynamic construction team as a Foreman/Equipment Operator and take charge of heavy equipment operations while leading on-site activities to ensure efficient project execution. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, oversee daily operations, and contribute to the successful completion of construction projects. Duties
- Operate a wide range of heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, dump trucks, and paving machinery to perform site preparation, grading, excavation, and paving tasks.
- Lead and supervise construction crews on-site, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to plan daily activities, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot operational issues promptly.
- Assist in site setup and preparation activities such as grading, trenching, and material handling using heavy machinery.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during equipment operation and site activities.
- Document operational activities, report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to management.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment safely on construction sites with a focus on efficiency and precision.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in operating various types of trucks such as dump trucks.
- Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and technical manuals related to construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices for operating heavy machinery.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining a safe work environment.
Full Time Position, 6 am -3:30 with overtime potential, roughly 75% of the time prevailing wage (around $85-$93), roughly 25% of the time is regular rate (non-prevailing wage).
Must have CDL Class A, MA Hoisting License, OSHA 10 and 5 years of experience
Pay: $40.00 - $94.00 per hour
