Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism
- Assist with medical procedures, including medication administration, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) protocols when necessary
- Support physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and treatments, including preparing exam rooms and sterilizing equipment
- Facilitate patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and health maintenance strategies across outpatient and inpatient settings
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medication administration protocols
- Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and data management
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations compassionately and professionally
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or trauma centers are advantageous
