About the Role
KO Marketing Group is seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager to own the content strategy and execution across our portfolio of 15+ home services and consumer brands. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives on variety, moves fast across multiple brand voices, and can bring structure to a large-scale content operation — from newsletters and blog posts to landing page copy and beyond.
You'll work closely with the Marketing Operations Director and cross-functional discipline leads (digital ads, websites, social, creative, events) to ensure every brand's content is consistent, on-strategy, and driving measurable results.
What You'll Do
Portfolio & Strategy
● Own the end-to-end content strategy for 15+ brands in the home improvement and leisure space.
● Develop and maintain content calendars across brands, balancing evergreen needs with seasonal and campaign-driven priorities
● Translate each brand's distinct voice, audience, and positioning into consistent, high-quality content
Content Production & Management
● Write, edit, and oversee production of blog posts, landing page copy, email newsletters, website content, and other marketing collateral
● Manage a content pipeline across a high volume of concurrent projects without sacrificing quality or brand accuracy
● Partner with SEO/digital and creative teams to ensure content supports lead generation, organic search performance, and brand storytelling goals
● Review and edit content produced by team members, freelancers, or contractors to maintain quality standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
● Work directly with the Marketing Operations Director on reporting, prioritization, and content performance reviews
● Partner with the digital ads, social media, creative, and events leads to ensure content aligns with broader campaigns
● Collaborate with brand stakeholders to gather input, approvals, and subject-matter expertise
Process & Optimization
● Build and refine repeatable content workflows and templates that scale across the portfolio (e.g., blog structures, landing page frameworks, newsletter formats)
● Use performance data (traffic, engagement, conversions) to continuously improve content effectiveness
● Maintain organized content documentation and asset libraries within our project management system (ClickUp)
What We're Looking For
Required
● 4+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or a related field, ideally in an agency or multi-brand environment
● Proven ability to manage a high volume of content across multiple brands, audiences, or clients simultaneously
● Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and voice across different brands
● Experience writing for varied formats: blog/SEO content, email newsletters, landing pages, and web copy
● Strong project management skills and comfort working with tools like ClickUp, Google Workspace, or similar
● Ability to work on-site in Rochester, NY
Preferred
● Experience in home services, B2C, or local/regional marketing
● Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword-driven content strategy
● Experience with tools such as Ahrefs, GA4, or CMS platforms (WordPress, etc.)
● Prior experience managing freelance writers or junior content contributors
You'll Thrive in This Role If You
● Enjoy variety and can shift between brand voices and formats without losing quality
● Are highly organized and comfortable owning a large, moving portfolio of deliverables
● Take initiative to build better systems rather than waiting to be told what's next
● Communicate clearly and collaborate well with both marketing peers and brand stakeholders
