Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assist with patient monitoring by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall health status in accordance with care plans
- Support residents or clients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Utilize proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safety during mobility tasks
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, medication records, and progress notes while respecting privacy standards such as HIPAA regulations
- Support individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, dementia (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through personalized engagement and supervision
- Assist with home & community care tasks including transportation to appointments, light housekeeping like cleaning, and ensuring a safe environment at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification required
- Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, and managing residents’ <PERSON> needs is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders including autism or intellectual disabilities support is desirable
- Valid training in HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Flexibility to work in various settings including senior care facilities or home & community environments

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
