We need a great counselor.
People in the Chippewa Valley are waiting for good therapy. Not just any therapy. Real, thoughtful, trauma-informed care that actually helps them move through life. That’s what we do at Northern Woods Wellness, and we need another skilled clinician to help us do more of it!
We’re a small, close team of clinicians who care about the work, about each other, and about the people we serve. Your voice matters here and you’ll help shape what this practice becomes. We’re looking for someone who wants to show up in person as much as possible because they believe in the power of face-to-face care. In-person demand in this community is real, and we want someone who’s energized by that.
What we’re looking for
- Part-time fully-licensed therapist in Wisconsin (LPC or LMFT)
- Trained and experienced in individual and couples therapies
- Grounded in a trauma-informed approach, whether that’s CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, or something else entirely
- Thoughtful about mental health equity and committed to work that reflects it
- Someone who values clinical autonomy and thrives within a collaborative team
- Ready to build a caseload in a community that genuinely needs skilled care
You can expect a caseload that reflects the real lives of the community:
Individual therapy here doesn’t look like one kind of person with one kind of problem. The Chippewa Valley is home to a wide range of people navigating a wide range of circumstances, and our clinicians work across all of it. That includes farmers and agricultural workers managing stress, isolation, and financial uncertainty. Veterans and their families carrying the weight of service. College students finding their footing in early adulthood. Working class families stretched thin by economic pressure. Survivors of trauma looking for a place to finally exhale. Older adults facing grief, transition, and the particular loneliness that can come with age.
We’re looking for a clinician who is comfortable moving across these populations and who sees that as a strength of the work.
