The Merchants Exchange Productions team brings more than 50 years combined experience hosting and producing special events in San Francisco. From planning and logistics, to production, management, and in-house gourmet catering, Merchants Exchange Productions is the only fully-verticalized event production service tied exclusively to three of The City’s finest venues. Every program hosted by Merchants Exchange Productions is more than an event, it’s a true San Francisco experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of all audio and/or video elements per event.
- Complete setup of production equipment, including audio, video, lighting, and scenic equipment, as needed.
- Interpret event orders, understand oral and verbal instructions to determine run of show operation and additional equipment needs upon request.
- Lead audio / video Tech Runs prior to event with clients.
- Maintain design integrity and quality throughout event, including proper operational checks prior to event.
- Report breakage, issues or other needs as they arise in all venues.
- Maintain and repair venue equipment as necessary.
- Ensure safety in all work environments.
- Assist the productions team and other areas of the company as needed.
Required Skills
- Well-rounded production & events background, with advance knowledge in either audio and/or video production.
- Excellent customer service skills with a “can do” attitude. Experience in the hospitality industry a plus.
- Must be a proven self-starter capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision.
- Must have ability to problem-solve in fast paced environments with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and have free range of motion. Must be comfortable working at heights, such as ladders and lifts.
- Knowledge of production equipment, including maintenance and safety standards.
- A well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays – as dictated by the events schedule.
- Highly reliable, punctual and responsive. Must have reliable transportation to work hours when public transportation is not available.
