About Us
Mother's Helper KC helps busy families stay on top of the daily tasks that can quickly become overwhelming. We provide household support through laundry, organization, tidying, errands, and home management assistance.
We are not a cleaning company and we are not a childcare service. Our mission is to help families feel less stressed and more in control of their homes.
As our company continues to grow, this position has the potential to transition from part-time to full-time hours for the right candidate.
This position is ideal for someone who loves organizing, thrives on checking things off a to-do list, enjoys helping others, and takes pride in creating calm out of chaos.
What You'll Do
Every day is different, but responsibilities may include:
- Laundry (washing, folding, hanging, and putting away)
- Dishes and kitchen resets
- Organizing closets, pantries, toy rooms, and household spaces
- Making beds and refreshing bedrooms
- Running errands
- Light household tidying
- Packing and unpacking projects
- Creating organizational systems for families
- Assisting with special household projects
- Helping clients declutter and maintain functional spaces
What This Position Is NOT
This is NOT:
- A deep cleaning position
- A housekeeping position
- A babysitting or nanny position
While children may be present in the home, your primary responsibility is household assistance and organization.
Requirements
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license
- Comfortable driving to client homes throughout the Kansas City metro area
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable lifting up to 30 pounds
- Ability to notice what needs to be done and take initiative
