We have an immediate opening for a Security Guard/Security Officer/Residential Specialist (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm shift, Wednesday - Sunday) to join our team at Liliuokalani Gardens at Waikiki, a 385-unit condominium just a short walk from the beach and Honolulu Zoo.
This opportunity is ideal for all security guards, security officers, concierge staff, or residential specialists in the Honolulu area, especially those currently working in nearby Waikiki hotels or condominiums.
We are seeking individuals who are dedicated, who have excellent customer service skills, who are friendly, caring, professional, approachable, and service-oriented, while also capable of enforcing community rules with fairness and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor assigned areas to ensure the safety of residents, guests, and property.
- Operate and review CCTV systems to detect and respond to suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
- Enforce house rules and property policies to maintain a safe, orderly environment.
- Assist residents and guests with professionalism and courtesy, including during emergency situations.
- Work with law enforcement when necessary and prepare clear, detailed incident reports.
- Communicate effectively to de-escalate conflicts and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Write clear, detailed, and accurate reports.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in condominium or hotel security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred, but we would train candidates who would like to be on our team.
- Valid Hawaii State Security Guard Card (or ability to complete training and certification within 90 days).
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Word processing required and ability to prepare accurate written reports.
- Familiarity with security systems, including CCTV.
- Calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
