Dispatcher & Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and friendly Dispatcher & Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position is the main point of contact between our customers, office, and field technicians and plays an important role in keeping our daily schedule running smoothly.
The ideal candidate is comfortable talking with customers, handling a busy phone line, managing multiple priorities, and making scheduling decisions throughout the day. Garage door experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Schedule garage door service calls, repairs, estimates, and installations
- Dispatch technicians and coordinate their daily schedules
- Communicate schedule changes, delays, and arrival information with customers
- Gather accurate information from customers about their garage door or opener issues
- Create and update customer profiles, jobs, notes, and appointments in Housecall Pro
- Monitor technicians’ schedules and adjust routes or appointments as needed
- Follow up with customers regarding estimates, scheduling, parts, and service
- Respond to customer emails and messages
- Assist with invoicing, payments, and basic office tasks as needed
- Coordinate with technicians and office staff regarding job details and customer needs
- Maintain accurate and organized customer records
- Help resolve customer concerns professionally and know when an issue needs to be escalated
- Provide general administrative support during slower periods
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, personable, organized, and confident communicating with both customers and technicians. This position requires someone who can stay calm when the schedule changes, prioritize urgent calls, and keep track of several things at once.
A strong candidate will have:

- Good written and verbal communication
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software
- Ability to multitask in a busy office environment
- Good judgment when prioritizing and scheduling service calls
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- A positive, professional attitude
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
- Previous dispatching, customer service, receptionist, or office experience is helpful but not required
What You’ll Learn
We will provide training on our scheduling and dispatching process, Housecall Pro, garage door terminology, common service issues, and how to determine what information our technicians need before arriving at a job.
This is a great position for someone who enjoys talking to people, staying organized, solving problems, and keeping a busy operation moving.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
