This position will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
Production Scheduler
The Production Scheduler owns the production plan across short, medium, and long-term horizons (0–2 weeks, 2–12 weeks, and 12 months), adjusting it daily based on output and communicating changes promptly to all stakeholders. This role creates and maintains production orders in Fishbowl, coordinating with Supply Chain on material availability and Quality on BOM accuracy.
Job Duties
Daily Activities
- Update production plan per daily output (0–2 week horizon). Ensure communication of schedule changes is timely and effective for all stakeholders
- Create and maintain production orders in Fishbowl
- Work with supply chain on material availability
- Work with quality on BOM accuracy
Weekly Activities
- Update and maintain Amazon stock projection sheet to monitor usage and inventory
- Update and maintain Retail stock projection sheet to monitor usage and inventory
- Update production plan from changes in needs from demand or production output (2-12 week horizon)
- Host weekly production meeting with Quality, Supply Chain, and maintenance to discuss changes to the schedule and gain alignment with stakeholders on feasibility
Monthly / As needed
- Update production schedule from changes in Demand Plan (12 month horizon). Demand Plan updates occur monthly
- Validate throughput rates and other item data as changes occur. Ensure data in various files is accurate
- Partner with Quality and Supply Chain teams on latest Specification Sheet and BOM
revisions and ensure accuracy in Fishbowl system
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2–4 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or a related manufacturing/operations role
- Experience in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment preferred
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Fishbowl (or comparable ERP/MRP/inventory management software) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, tracking/projection sheets)
- Understanding of demand planning concepts and inventory/stock projection methods
Functional Skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple planning horizons (daily, weekly, monthly) simultaneously
- Analytical mindset for validating throughput rates and ensuring data accuracy across systems
- Ability to interpret and respond to shifting demand and production output data
Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills; comfortable coordinating with Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams
- Experience leading or facilitating meetings with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to communicate schedule changes clearly and proactively to varied audiences
- Problem-solving orientation with a collaborative approach to resolving material, quality, or capacity constraints
