Account Manager/Order Entry Specialist
We are partnering with a long-established advanced manufacturing organization with a 40+ year history of innovation and steady growth. What began in the mid-1980s with a small team and a handful of precision machines has evolved into a 200-employee, 165,000 sq. ft. operation recognized for early adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and continuous investment in people, equipment, and process improvement.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Account Manager/Order Entry Specialist. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of customer orders while serving as a key point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate excels in organization, communication, and data analysis, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Processing
- Receive, review, and accurately process customer purchase orders (POs)
- Ensure all order details (pricing, quantities, delivery dates, specifications) are correct and complete
- Enter orders into ERP system and maintain accurate records
Customer Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, updates, and issue resolution
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Communicate order status, delays, and changes proactively to internal teams and customers
- Help prioritize orders based on customer needs and operational capacity
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Utilize spreadsheets and analytical tools to track orders, identify trends, and support business decisions
- Maintain and analyze order data for accuracy and process improvement opportunities
- Assist with reporting, forecasting support, and operational insights (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
Process Improvement & Special Projects
- Take ownership of side projects aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy in order management
- Help streamline workflows and implement best practices across order entry and account management functions
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, account management, or order entry, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis required)
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
