Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You will ensure all parts, assemblies, and finished products meet strict engineering and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Inspections: Conduct layout, in-process, and final inspections on complex parts.
- Operate Advanced Metrology Equipment: Use a Romer Arm and Micro-Height gauge daily.
- Utilize Standard Precision Tools: Operate calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and indicators.
- Analyze Drawings: Read, interpret, and apply blueprint requirements to physical parts.
- Apply GD&T Standards: Interpret complex Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing symbols and specifications.
- Document Results: Maintain accurate inspection records, non-conformance reports, and FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports).
Required Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proven proficiency with Romer Arm (portable CMM) and Micro-Height systems.
- Blueprint Reading: Advanced ability to read and interpret complex industrial blueprint drawings.
- GD&T Expertise: Deep understanding and practical application of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
- Tool Proficiency: Mastery of all standard mechanical inspection hand tools and gauges.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with inspection software.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) designation.
- Experience in aerospace or precision machining industries.
