Joseph Family Markets a local family-owned company that operates as the ShopRite of Canton. And, we are in search of the newest member of our Prepared Foods (Hot Foods) team that fits our company culture!
THIS POSITION IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION. A preferable associate in this position would be available 1pm-9pm. Weekends required. The position is part-time, ranging from 15-30 hours a week.
The position requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive department. A Prepared Foods Clerk that works this shift is responsible for skewing raw rottisserie chickens and managing the cooking, preparation and packaging. The associate also is responsible for deep cleaning, code checking, and setting up for the next day of business operations. Proper food-handling practices are a must.
The position requirements:
* At least 18 years of age and have previous similar work experience
* Must be able to work independently to get time-sensitive tasks lists complete
* Must be able to stand, bend, twist, reach, squat, push, and pull
* Must be able to regularly lift & carry 30+ lb boxes of product and lift skewed rotisserie poles
* Must be able to work within store coolers, freezers, in and out of cold temperatures
* Must be able to work with and around ovens and heating equipment
* Must be able to handle all products and cleaning agents in the department
* Must be able to read and write English, and have basic math skills
* Must be able to work well independently
* Outstanding customer service is a definite
* Must be available weekends
*Must be able to follow all quality assurance/food safety practices and procedures
