Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with selecting ice cream flavors and toppings, providing excellent food service customer order management.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare food items by scooping ice cream, adding toppings, and maintaining cleanliness of workstations to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, give accurate change, and manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly.
- Upsell additional products like sundaes or specialty treats to enhance sales opportunities while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, counters, and utensils regularly in accordance with food safety management practices.
- Assist in operating kitchen equipment when necessary and support overall food preparation tasks in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or retail sales is preferred, especially in quick service & fast food restaurant settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales records efficiently.
- Experience with food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols within the food industry or café environment is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that encourages repeat visits and positive interactions.
