Job Responsibilities
The Legal Assistant will work closely with attorneys and staff to support the firm's personal injury practice. Responsibilities include:
- Assist attorneys with legal drafting, correspondence, and document preparation.
- Support personal injury claim processing from intake through settlement.
- Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain regular client contact and provide case status updates.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
- Schedule appointments, depositions, and other case-related deadlines.
- Obtain and organize medical records, bills, and other supporting documents.
- Perform general administrative and office support duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct client interviews in Vietnamese and English to gather case information efficiently and professionally.
- Manage legal case files and document to ensure accurate recordkeeping and easy retrieval of case materials.
- Support litigation activities by reviewing documents, organizing evidence, and assisting with trial preparation.
- Perform data entry, filing, and clerical tasks while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate communication between clients, courts, government agencies, and internal teams with professionalism and courtesy.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Vietnamese and English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading and transcription abilities are advantageous.
- Effective phone etiquette combined with professional interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team; high attention to detail is essential.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
