American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN who can both scrub and circulate, with 3–5 years of complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular experience, for a 13-week travel contract.

Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting

RN will primarily scrub but must be able to both scrub and circulate
-
Complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases including coronary artery bypass (primary and redo), aortic aneurysms, AVR and MVR (primary and redo), TAVR, ECMO, VADs — adult required, pediatric experience a plus

Ongoing research protocols are a regular part of the work environment

Day shift: 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM (13-hour shifts), 39 hours per week

On-call required, approximately 1–2 call shifts per week

Weekend shifts required, approximately 1–2 weekends per 6-week schedule (roughly once per month)

Free on-site parking available

Active VA or Compact RN license required

BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)

CNOR certification preferred

3–5 years of recent experience in both scrubbing and circulating in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required

Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills required

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

All requested time off must be added to the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 working weeks

Candidate will scrub and circulate in complex cardiovascular surgical cases, with a primary focus on scrubbing

Holiday coverage is required: one summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) per department need

Overtime may be required based on departmental needs

Active participation in professional and departmental activities is expected
