Position Summary:
Edko, LLC is seeking utility vegetation management professionals, and/or
candidates with a 2 or 4 year degree in forestry or a related field. Personnel are
expected to perform inspections, and evaluations of line clearance work and
vegetation along utility lines. Utility Arborists will plan, direct, and coordinate the
activities of tree clearance crews, interface with and negotiate line-clearance
crew access and practices with utility customers, as well as, conducting other
various special projects.
Utility Arborist Requirements:
- The ability to work independently with excellent communication skills.
- An AA or BA Degree in forestry, arboriculture or a related field; or utility
vegetation management experience. Utility Arborist certification or
ability to become certified within 1-year is preferred.
- Local tree knowledge beneficial
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Ability to interpret and follow maps
- Ability to use a laptop computer, GPS, and GIS
- Valid Driver License required
