Duties
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including arts, sports, theater, and educational games
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to support each child's unique needs and progress
- Maintain a clean, organized environment aligned with childcare standards and safety regulations
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents
- Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing tailored assistance
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Experience in classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and child safety protocols
- Background in working with children with special needs or in inclusive education environments is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, energetic environment that encourages learning and social interaction
- Previous involvement in sports coaching, babysitting, or theater activities that enhance child engagement is advantageous
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
