Position Summary
The Pediatric Primary Care Provider will deliver comprehensive preventive and acute medical care for pediatric patients in an outpatient primary care setting. The ideal candidate is dedicated to family-centered care, preventive medicine, and collaborative healthcare while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations for pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric illnesses
- Conduct routine well-child visits and developmental screenings
- Administer immunizations according to CDC guidelines
- Educate patients and families regarding growth, nutrition, disease prevention, and treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
- Coordinate referrals to specialists when medically appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care practices
Qualifications
Applicants must possess ONE of the following active Illinois licenses:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Physician Assistant (PA)
- Medical Doctor (MD/DO)
Additionally, candidates should possess:
- Current Illinois professional license in good standing
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in pediatric primary care preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
Schedule
- Full-Time
- 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday
- No overnight shifts
