American Traveler is hiring an RN with combined OR Circulator, Pre-Op, and PACU experience for a surgical services role requiring rotational call coverage.

Facility with 3 OR suites, 3 PACU/Pre-Op bays, and 1 anesthesia provider
-
Surgical case types include general, OB/GYN, ophthalmology (cataract), and occasional orthopedic procedures
-
Day shift hours 6:30am-2:30pm Monday through Friday, with occasional late days to complete surgical caseloads

Rotational call coverage averaging 1-2 days per week plus every other or every third weekend depending on staffing

Holiday coverage required as part of rotational schedule

Must be able to function across all three specialty areas: Pre-Op, OR Circulator, and PACU

Active CO or compact RN license required

Minimum 6 years of nursing experience required, with 3 years of combined Pre-Op/OR/PACU experience preferred

ACLS certification required

CNOR certification preferred

Scrub experience preferred

Must be comfortable with long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting

Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials expected

Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, circulating cases, patient recovery, and preparing patients for surgery

Assists with processing surgical instruments and equipment in central sterilizing
-
Provides patient education and emotional support throughout the surgical process
-
Adheres to infection control standards and follows national guidelines from IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN

Reports to the Surgical Services Manager or designee

Requires strong communication skills and the ability to remain effective in high-stress situations
