Job Summary:
The Certified Medication Aide administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents in a skilled nursing facility under the supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely delivery of care in accordance with Texas regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer oral, topical, and other approved medications as ordered
- Observe residents and report medication effects or concerns to the nurse
- Document medication administration and maintain accurate records
- Assist with medication storage, inventory, and infection control practices
- Support residents with daily care needs as assigned
- Follow facility policies and state/federal compliance standards
Requirements:
- Current Texas Certified Medication Aide certification and active CNA certification
- Listed in good standing on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and resident safety
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
