Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move inventory efficiently.
- Assist with order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment in accordance with customer specifications.
- Manage shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation, ensuring proper labeling, and coordinating with carriers for timely dispatch.
- Stock shelves and organize storage areas to optimize space utilization and facilitate quick access for order picking.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment.
Requirements
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred; familiarity with warehouse distribution centers is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely; certification is advantageous.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (such as ERP or AS400) and MRP software is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of shipping logistics, order picking & packing procedures, and inventory control processes.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow instructions precisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy items regularly and stand or walk for extended periods.
