VoMac Truck Sales & Service, one of the nation's top-rated Volvo and Mack dealerships, is seeking a skilled Welder/Trailer Mechanic to join our Evansville, Indiana team.

Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and stick welding on heavy-duty trailers, equipment, and steel or aluminum components.
- Fabricate, assemble, repair, and rebuild trailer components by reading blueprints and using welders, plasma cutters, oxygen/acetylene torches, and other fabrication equipment.
- Diagnose and repair trailer systems, including wheel bearings, wheel seals, brakes, air lines, and perform general trailer maintenance.
- Safely operate shop equipment and maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures while completing repairs efficiently and with a high standard of quality.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of welding and fabrication experience preferred, with MIG and stick welding experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment, including welders, plasma cutters, torches, grinders, chop saws, and forklifts (forklift experience preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing and repairing trailer components; electrical and hydraulic experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
- Must be able to safely perform the physical demands of the job, including standing, lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in confined or overhead spaces.
