Du Quoin Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as an Infection Preventionist. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about resident safety, staff education, quality improvement, and maintaining the highest infection prevention standards in a skilled nursing environment.

A collaborative, resident-focused work environment
Develop, implement, and oversee the facility's Infection Prevention & Control Program
Conduct infection surveillance, reporting, and trend analysis
Educate staff on infection prevention practices and regulatory requirements
Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, IDPH, and facility infection control standards
Collaborate with clinical leadership to reduce healthcare-associated infections
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys
Provide on-call support as assigned
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
Long-term care experience preferred
Knowledge of infection prevention principles and state and federal regulations
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to educate staff and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
