Description
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with Italian Homemade Company recipes, are responsible for setting up their station, ensuring food quality and presentation according to restaurant standards, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and managing inventory at their station. Key responsibilities include food preparation, cooking via various methods, plating dishes, stocking supplies, and collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service under the direction of the head chef
Duties and Responsibilities
· Prepare ingredients and portion food according to recipes and restaurant specifications.
· Execute dishes to ensure they meet quality and recipe standards.
· Set up assigned station with necessary supplies before service and restocking them as needed during the shift.
· Ensure that all dishes prepared are of high quality, consistent, and presented correctly.
· Maintain a clean and organized workstation, cleaning equipment, and complying with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Perform inventory counts, checking stock levels, and reporting shortages to management.
· Work as part of a team with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
· Ensure that food items are stored in a safe and orderly manner
· Rotate food items as standardized in the kitchen rule book
· Attending all mandatory meetings
Requirements and Qualifications
· Knowledge of various food preparation techniques.
· Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portion controls.
· Understanding of health, safety, and food sanitation standards.
· Physical stamina to work long hours, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy items.
· Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Open availability for scheduling, including weekend and holiday availability
· Ability to lift, bend, twist, squat, reach, grab, etc.
