Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring each drink meets quality standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to provide outstanding customer service and enhance their overall experience.
- Manage bar operations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop and suggest new beverage recipes, including craft beers, wines, cocktails, and specialty drinks to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly; restock supplies as needed while minimizing waste through effective stock management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods, including catering events and banquets.
Skills
- Proven experience in bartending within fine dining or upscale hospitality environments.
- Strong knowledge of beverage ingredients, cocktail techniques, wine varieties, brewing processes, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders quickly and accurately during peak hours.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math calculations, and food industry transactions.
- Experience in food safety practices, food handling, catering setups, banquet service, and retail math is highly desirable.
