Duties
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures, including administering medications and performing restraint
- Prepare cats for surgery, monitoring anesthesia, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with intubation and vascular access
- Collect blood samples through phlebotomy, perform laboratory tests, and operate diagnostic radiology equipment such as X-ray machines
- Support pet grooming, pet care routines, and kennel management to ensure animals are comfortable and well-cared-for
- Maintain accurate medical records, update patient files, and document procedures using veterinary terminology
- Assist with emergency medicine procedures in critical & intensive care situations, ensuring swift response to urgent needs
Requirements
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary or pet care setting; kennel experience is highly valued
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and basic medical equipment operation
- Proficiency in animal restraint techniques, IV insertion, catheterization, and aseptic technique
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology procedures including X-ray operation and radiology diagnostics
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners about pet care
- Certification or experience in veterinary technician roles or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
