Position Overview
CCC seeks a creative, dynamic, and experienced Site Coordinator for our Little Dragon After-School Program in Malden. This position supervises teachers and children in kindergarten through grade 6 during the school year, Monday through Friday from 2 to 5.30 pm, plus 6 week of full day summer program. Reporting to the Executive Director, this hands-on position includes program administration, staff supervision, family communication, curriculum support, and direct engagement with children.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of CCC’s children’s programs.
- Ensure compliance with EEC regulations and Malden Public Schools policies.
- Supervise teachers, teaching assistants, and volunteers.
- Coordinate staff schedules, meetings, training, and evaluations.
- Maintain student enrollment, attendance, pickup, incident, and staff records.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding schedules, student progress, and concerns.
- Work with teachers to plan age-appropriate language, academic, arts, cultural, and physical activities.
- Promote a safe, supportive, clean, and organized learning environment.
- Respond to staffing or scheduling changes and substitute in the classroom when needed.
- Assist with enrollment, student recruitment, family events, and program communications.
- Monitor program progress and provide regular updates to the Executive Director.
- Represent CCC's educational program to support CCC's other community events on some Saturdays.
- Perform other program-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in education, child development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in an afterschool, school, childcare, or youth program.
- At least one year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Knowledge of school-age child development and behavior management.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts EEC requirements preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse families.
- Fluent in Mandarin/Cantonese and English bilingual skills preferred.
- Ability to meet applicable background-check and EEC requirements.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
