Project Management responsibilities include (not limited to):
- Lead, supervise and communicate effectively with project technical teams throughout planning, design, installation, start-up, programming, commissioning, turnover, and warranty phases of the assigned projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing clear updates on project status, timelines and resolutions.
- Develop detailed project plans and coordinate the required manpower and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer and contract expectations.
- Actively participate in pre-bid reviews and sales-to-operations turnover meetings, providing updates and addressing any potential challenges that arise.
- Review and interpret construction documents, construction schedules, contract specifications and codes to determine project requirements.
- Identify project risk and communicate mitigation strategies as necessary in a timely and proactive manner.
- Assume sole responsibility for the financial management of the entire project, including all cost, billing, collections, and subcontracts.
- Obtain bids and select reliable subcontractors to provide wiring and device installation or other related services.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times and communicate safety expectations to all parties, ensuring adherence across all jobsites.
- Conduct jobsite final walk-through and manage the completion of all project close-out documentation such as “As-Built” drawings, program backups and system operating instructions.
- Travel to job sites regularly to review progress, resolve issues and maintain open lines of communication with field personnel and customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience with commercial building Mechanical and Electrical systems, including experience with start-up, point to point checkout, and commissioning of BAS systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, and construction workflows.
- Proficient understanding of wiring and basic electricity, and the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
- Proven ability to lead meetings, negotiate effectively, resolve conflicts, and build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and internal team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate priorities effectively.
- Computer proficiency, particularly Microsoft Excel and project management tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
