JOB TITLE: Carpenter / Laborer
JOB PURPOSE:
We are a growing company seeking motivated and dependable Carpenters & Construction Laborers to join our team. In this role, you will support various phases of the construction process to ensure projects progress safely and efficiently. Your hands-on skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic will contribute directly to successes across custom home builds, cabin renovations, commercial projects, and various other scopes of work. This position offers an engaging environment where teamwork, craftsmanship, and safety are highly valued qualities—not to mention we offer some of the best office views in Wyoming, from the Snowy Range Mountains to the surrounding valleys and the prairies beyond. We work on high mountain properties to acreages on the hills and prairies, from the peaks of Medicine Bow to the hills of the Shermans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to maintain and complete tasks and projects in a team environment as well as individually with out loss of quality or productivity
- Ability to take direction from team members to complete tasks individually without further instruction and in a timely fashion
- Communicate with clients and team members in a polite and respectful manor
- Reading and interpreting residential and commercial blueprint specifications accurately to determine equipment and materials required and methods of installation to complete individual tasks or projects.
- Select specified types, dimensions, and qualities of wood and other materials; determine the amount necessary to complete individual tasks or projects.
- Prepare project layout using various measuring and marking tools including tape measure, squares, transit and story board, pencil, marker, chalk and marking gauge.
- Confidently cut and shape construction materials using manual and power tools.
- Assemble materials using a variety of fasteners including nails, screws, lags, bolts, staples, dowel pins, glue and clamps, etc.
- Prepare and protect wood and other material surfaces.
- Perform work in specialized areas (including but not limited to) framing, setting trusses, sheeting, window and door installation, finish carpentry, roof and ceiling construction, concrete form construction, demolition of walls, floors and ceilings for remodeling projects, along with numerous other tasks.
- Work at heights from scaffolding, man lifts, post and beams and on roofs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant and in good standing with the state of issuance
- Valid documentation granting the legal right to work in the United States.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Preferred: 2+ years of relevant experience for higher-tier pay rates.
- Entry-Level / On-the-Job Training: Available for candidates demonstrating a strong work ethic and aptitude.
- Hands-on training for candidates willing to work hard and work with others.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Standard practices, materials, and tools of the carpentry trade.
- Basic knowledge of all main carpentry areas; framing, finish, window & door installation, roofing, siding, flooring, ceiling, and demolition.
- Occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
Skills and Abilities to:
- Select appropriate materials based on application and amounts required.
- Read, interpret and work from sketches, blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Care for the tools and equipment of the trade.
- Use the tools and equipment of the trade.
- Communicate clearly and concisely.
- Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Read, understand and follow safety procedures.
- Work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment.
