Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Nanomaterials Production Technician to join our team in Lexington, KY. In this hands‑on role, you will assemble, operate, and maintain Engi‑Mat’s proprietary Nanomiser™ production systems to manufacture advanced materials for a diverse customer base. The position requires strong mechanical and technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with efficiency and integrity in a fast‑paced chemical manufacturing environment.
This role involves coordinating multiple production activities, supporting equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Engi‑Mat’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Nanomiser™ System Operation & Production
· Operate Engi‑Mat’s Nanomiser™ production systems to manufacture high‑performance materials.
· Mix chemical solutions and prepare materials according to established procedures.
· Operate processing equipment, including furnaces and sieving systems.
· Meet production schedules and deliverables with a high degree of accuracy.
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
· Assemble, maintain, and repair production equipment and related systems.
· Troubleshoot instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
· Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
Documentation & Quality Compliance
· Record production data and maintain accurate process documentation, including lab notebooks and SOPs.
· Support and adhere to Engi‑Mat’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
· Track time and expenses in accordance with company policies and government requirements.
Facilities & Operational Support
· Assist with upkeep of manufacturing, laboratory, and office areas, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and specialized chemical‑handling infrastructure.
· Support emergency repairs and general facility maintenance as needed.
· Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, or chemical aptitude.
- Ability to understand and operate process control systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- 1+ year of experience in chemical production or related manufacturing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self‑motivated and results‑oriented.
· Ability to work on‑site in Lexington, KY.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with thermal processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
- Experience assembling or maintaining mechanical systems or instrumentation.

· Pay: From $21.00 per hour
