Balanced Garage Doors is looking for a highly motivated Service Technician to join our growing team. We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and delivering an excellent customer experience.
As a Garage Door Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, maintain, and install residential garage doors and operating systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who communicates clearly, works safely, and can represent our company professionally in customers’ homes.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and related components
- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections
- Install garage doors, openers, and replacement parts as needed
- Clearly explain repair options and recommendations to customers
- Provide accurate estimates and complete service documentation
- Maintain an organized company vehicle, tools, and inventory
- Follow all company procedures and safety standards
- Deliver friendly, honest, and professional customer service
- Work independently while supporting the entire Balanced Garage Doors team
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Garage door service experience is required
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated to succeed
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, ladders, and mechanical equipment
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and garage door components
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass applicable background and employment screenings
- Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-time; some evenings, weekends, or on-call availability may be required
