Position Summary
The BOH Crew Level 2 is an experienced kitchen team member who performs all BOH functions while also supporting training and development of newer crew members. This role is fully cross-trained across dish, prep, line execution, and grab-and-go production, and plays a key role in maintaining food quality, cleanliness, and operational flow.
BOH Crew Level 2 team members are dependable on shift, able to work independently across stations, and help reinforce standards, systems, and culture within the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Food ProductionKitchen Execution

Prepare menu items according to OliveFinch recipes, specs, and quality standards.

Execute service across all BOH stations, including prep, line, and grab-and-go production.

Maintain speed, accuracy, and presentation during peak service.

Ensure proper labeling, dating, rotation, and storage of all food products.
Dish, CleanlinessOrganization
-
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health and safety standards.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in BOH areas, including prep, storage, and dish stations.

Remove trash and recycling to ensure safe and sanitary conditions.

Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking.
TrainingTeam Support

Assist with onboarding and hands-on training of BOH Crew Level 1 team members.

Model proper technique, station organization, and food handling practices.

Provide real-time guidance and support during service.

Help reinforce OliveFinch standards and expectations on shift.
CollaborationCommunication

Communicate clearly with FOH and BOH teams to support smooth operations.

Support FOH as needed with bussing, trash, and dining room cleanliness.

Assist with catering and event prep and execution when required.

Qualifications

Previous kitchen or food production experience required.

Ability to work confidently across all BOH stations.

Demonstrated reliability, consistency, and attention to detail.

Comfortable training and supporting newer team members.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Reporting Structure
Reports to the Kitchen Manager. This position does not have direct reports but serves as a peer trainer and shift-level support for BOH Crew Level 1.
Work EnvironmentPhysical Requirements
This is a hands-on, back-of-house position requiring extended periods of standing, bending, lifting, and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Must be able to handle exposure to heat, cold, and cleaning chemicals. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
