JD Edwards / Application Business Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced JD Edwards / Application Business Analyst to partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to analyze, design, configure and support JD Edwards ERP solutions. The role focuses on translating business requirements into functional JD Edwards designs, driving system enhancements, coordinating testing and deployments, and ensuring the application meets operational needs. The ideal candidate combines JD Edwards application expertise with strong business analysis, problem-solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as primary JD Edwards subject-matter expert for assigned modules and business processes, advising stakeholders on system capabilities and best practices.

Gather, document and validate business requirements, use cases and process flows; translate them into functional specifications and configuration tasks.

Configure JD Edwards settings, setups and security as required; develop functional design documents and change requests.

Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement integrations, customizations and reports; create and review SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.

Lead functional and user acceptance testing (UAT); develop test plans, test cases and execute testing with business users to ensure quality and fit-for-purpose delivery.

Support production releases and deployments, coordinate cutover activities and provide post-go-live support and root cause analysis for incidents.

Provide training, create end-user documentation and system procedures to drive adoption and consistent usage.

Work with project managers, developers, engineers and cross-functional teams to prioritize work, estimate effort and deliver on project milestones.

Monitor application performance, identify improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to ERP and supporting technology.
Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of hands-on JD Edwards experience (functional configuration, setup, and support) required.

2+ years experience in a Business Analyst role, including requirements elicitation, documentation and stakeholder management required.

Experience working with ERP systems, processes and implementations; familiarity with JD Edwards modules relevant to finance, procurement, inventory or manufacturing.

Proficient in writing and reviewing SQL queries for data extraction, validation and troubleshooting nice to have.

Comfortable collaborating with technical engineers and application teams to specify integrations, interfaces and custom development nice to have.

Demonstrated ability to create test plans, lead UAT and ensure high-quality releases.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present technical concepts to business audiences.

Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with application lifecycle management tools, ERP best practices and modern enterprise technology stacks is a plus.
