Avante Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Charge Nurse to provide exceptional nursing care and lead our clinical team in delivering outstanding service to our residents.
Position Summary
As an LVN Charge Nurse, you will oversee the daily nursing operations on your assigned unit, supervise nursing staff, coordinate resident care, and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations while promoting a positive, resident-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support CNAs and nursing staff during assigned shifts
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assess residents and promptly report changes in condition
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, and physician orders
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide quality resident care
- Foster a compassionate, respectful, and team-oriented culture
Qualifications
- Current Texas LVN license in good standing
- Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred
- Charge nurse or leadership experience is a plus
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
