Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning optimal routes, performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and delivering cargo securely to its destination. The ideal candidate possesses a pristine driving record, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to maintaining federal compliance standards.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport Cargo: Drive safely to deliver a variety of goods across local routes.
- Payment method: 1099
- Equipment: Freightliner 2021 sleeper automatic or Volvo VNL 2022 sleeper automatic.
- Inspect Vehicles: Perform detailed daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee mechanical safety.
- Plan Routes: Use GPS systems and route-planning software to avoid traffic, manage fuel efficiency, and hit delivery windows.
- Report Incidents: Communicate delays, mechanical defects, traffic violations, or accidents immediately to dispatchers.
- Handle Cargo: Not touch freight.
- Provide Customer Service: Represent the company professionally during drop-offs and pick-ups at client facilities
Experience
- Licensure: A valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional commercial driving experience preferred.
- Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no recent major moving violations or DUI charges.
- Health & Safety: Valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card and ability to pass regular, random drug and alcohol screenings.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old to meet interstate driving regulations.
