Duties
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on generators and associated electrical systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Repair and replace components such as engines, alternators, control panels, wiring, and sensors with precision and care
- Lift heavy components safely during repairs or installations while adhering to safety protocols
Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring client satisfaction
Skills
Proven dealership experience or service technician background in generator or heavy equipment repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive or industrial equipment repair
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance tools
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures applicable to generator units or similar equipment
- Experience working with electrical systems including wiring diagrams and circuit troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members or clients during service calls
