About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver engaging lessons in accordance with established curriculum guidelines, adapting instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Implement lesson plans provided by full-time teachers or develop your own based on curriculum standards.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning.
- Support students’ social-emotional development through positive behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure smooth classroom operations and consistent instructional practices.
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
Qualifications:
- Ability to gain General Sub License
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or early childhood education.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation across subjects.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt instruction for students from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with special needs, including autism or special education requirements.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, school policies, and best practices in childhood development.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff.
- Experience working with educational technologies and computers to support instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach in a private school environment.
