American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a TX or compact RN license, with night shift availability.

30-bed cardiovascular stepdown unit in a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes post-op CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, lobectomy, and CEA patients, as well as NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, sepsis, GIB, post-DKA, respiratory failure, and trach patients
-
Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, stable GTT management, and cardiac pacers required in this unit

Night shift: 18:45–07:15

Floating required between the critical care service line

13-week assignment
-
Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand

Nursys license verification required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both must be AHA-issued)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience

Cardiovascular and vascular nursing experience required

Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, stable GTT management, and POD#1 post-cardiac surgical patients (CABG, AVR, MVR)

Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required

Care for a complex cardiovascular and vascular patient population in a high-acuity stepdown environment
