Job Summary
High volume, top five ranking import dealership in the boroughs is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Automotive General Manager/General Sales Manager to lead our dealership’s sales operations with enthusiasm and strategic vision. Expeience and a proven track record is a must. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire sales team, drive foreign passenger car sales, and cultivate strong customer relationships. Your leadership will ensure the achievement of sales targets, optimize inventory management, and enhance overall dealership performance. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the automotive sales team to meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals, focusing on foregin passenger vehicle sales.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies utilizing outbound calls, cold calling, B2B (business-to-business) sales, and upselling techniques to expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication skills, personalized service, and professional client communication. Maintain customer retention using out of the box methods.
- Oversee the entire sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closing, ensuring a seamless customer journey using CRM software supported by technical systems.
- Conduct negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage inventory control and inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels aligned with market demand.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and motivation to the sales team to improve performance in retail car sales, automotive financing options, and upselling opportunities.
- Organize public speaking engagements or dealership events to promote vehicle offerings and enhance public relations efforts.
- Monitor industry trends in automotive industry sales experience, B2B sales, and high-end automotive markets to stay competitive.
- Maintain compliance with dealership policies, local and fedral regulations, CRM systems, phone etiquette standards, and organizational procedures for efficient operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive dealership management or general sales management within the automotive industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on closing deals effectively while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive financing options, inventory management, retail math, and dealership operations.
- Exceptional communication skills including public speaking, client communication, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence.
- Ability to develop a robust sales pipeline through outbound sales efforts such as cold calling and B2B outreach.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases.
- Skilled in using CRM software, DMS, AI, Data Mining, OEM portals and CRM-supported systems for managing customer relationships and tracking sales activities.
- Organizational and analytical skills necessary for managing multiple priorities such as inventory control, team management, and achieving sales targets.
- Demonstrated success in upselling vehicles through consultative selling techniques.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience managing a diverse sales team focused on achieving measurable results in passenger car sales.
