Job Overview
Code Rescue is seeking a technically capable and highly organized Software Operations Coordinator to oversee the daily operation and delivery of our web and mobile software applications.
This person will coordinate an overseas development team, lead daily morning scrum meetings, manage Jira tickets, test bugs and new features, coordinate software releases, and use our AI-powered software operations system to understand issues and keep work moving.
This is not a traditional software project management position and is not primarily a programming role. Our internal AI system assists with codebase analysis, bug investigation, ticket preparation, and software review. The right person must be comfortable using AI and technology, verifying results, communicating clearly with developers, and taking responsibility for whether work is properly completed.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily morning scrum meetings with the overseas development team.
- Establish daily priorities, review progress, identify blockers, and follow up on incomplete work.
- Create, organize, assign, prioritize, and maintain Jira tickets.
- Turn business requests, user reports, and feature ideas into clear requirements and acceptance criteria for developers.
- Use the company’s AI software operations system, including Claude Code, to investigate software behavior, understand technical issues, prepare development tasks, and review
- completed work.
- Reproduce reported bugs and document the exact steps, expected behavior, actual behavior, screenshots, device information, and other evidence developers need.
- Test bug fixes and new features across the company’s web applications.
- Test the company’s iOS and Android mobile applications on appropriate devices and operating-system versions.
- Perform regression testing to confirm that completed work has not damaged existing functionality.
- Verify that Jira acceptance criteria have been satisfied before tickets are closed or software is released.
- Coordinate web and mobile feature rollouts from development through testing and production release.
- Coordinate mobile application releases through Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console, including build testing, submission tracking, release notes, and post-release
- verification.
- Maintain a basic working understanding of the company’s AWS environment and use logs, dashboards, and system information to help identify and escalate application problems.
- Monitor software issues reported by users, determine their urgency, collect the necessary evidence, and route them to the correct developer.
- Confirm that production releases are functioning correctly after deployment.
- Maintain accurate records of bugs, tests, releases, decisions, and unresolved issues.
- Provide management with concise updates covering completed work, current priorities, blocked tasks, release status, and production risks.
Required Qualifications
- Strong general computer and technology skills.
- Experience using AI tools to investigate problems, organize work, or assist with software-related tasks.
- Ability to learn and operate a structured AI-powered software management system.
- Experience with software testing, technical support, software operations, implementation, project coordination, or a similar hands-on technology role.
- Ability to reproduce bugs, follow testing procedures, document results, and verify that fixes work.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to give developers clear instructions and hold work accountable to requirements and deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple applications, tickets, bugs, and releases without losing track of details.
- Working familiarity with Jira or a similar ticket-management system.
- Basic understanding of how web applications, mobile applications, software environments, and production releases work.
- Willingness to take ownership of problems and follow them through verification and completion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating an overseas software development team.
- Experience testing iOS and Android applications.
- Familiarity with Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
- Basic familiarity with AWS services, application logs, and system monitoring.
- Familiarity with GitHub, software pull requests, or code review workflows.
- Basic familiarity with PHP or Laravel applications.
- Experience using Claude Code or another AI coding assistant.
A computer science degree, project management certification, AWS certification, or advanced programming experience is not required. The successful candidate will be selected
based on technical aptitude, AI fluency, organization, communication, testing ability, judgment, and willingness to learn.
Pay: $45,803.10 - $80,633.84 per year
