Balboa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
We are hiring LVNs for the following shifts. (No AM)
PM shift (3pm-11pm) SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Capable of doing Medpass.
- Must be actively California state certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Great people skills and empathy
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervising CNAs and carrying out doctors' orders for patients' needs.
- Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas.
- Giving medications and monitoring reaction to meds.
- Entering information into computer systems.
- Monitoring fluid/food intake and output.
- Moving patients safely.
- Observing patient mental health status and provide emotional support.
- Ensure safe environment by following safety procedures.
Physical Capacities: (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Environmental conditions: Inside work, normal temperatures, some noise, occasional fumes/odors, chemical exposure and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
