Residential Sales Representative & Estimator – Mindful Painting
For Someone Who Loves People, Takes Pride in Their Work, and Wants to Win.
On-Site & In-Field | Franklin, Hampshire & Hampden Counties
This is a customer-facing, field-based role. You'll be meeting homeowners where they are — in their homes, on their terms.
The Role That Drives Everything
At Mindful Painting, great work starts before a single brush hits the wall. It starts with the conversation — the one where a homeowner decides whether or not they trust us with their home. That's where you come in.
We're looking for a Residential Sales Representative and Estimator who can walk into someone's home, genuinely listen to what they're looking for, and put together an estimate that's accurate, professional, and easy to say yes to. Someone who understands that great sales isn't about pressure — it's about trust.
This is a role that directly shapes the growth of our company, and we're looking for someone who takes that seriously.
Who We Are
Mindful Painting is a fast-growing local paint contracting company specializing in interior and exterior residential painting, as well as sprayed and specialty finishes. We've been proudly serving Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties since 2019, and we've built our reputation one great project — and one great customer relationship — at a time.
We're a team of hardworking, good-natured people who hold ourselves to a high standard. We care about the quality of our work, the experience our customers have, and the culture we've built together. We're looking for someone who fits that mold and is ready to help us grow.
What You'll Be Doing
- Meet with prospective residential customers in their homes to assess project scope and deliver accurate, detailed estimates
- Build genuine rapport with homeowners and guide them through the process with clarity and confidence
- Follow up on leads in a timely and professional manner to close jobs and keep the pipeline moving
- Work closely with the production team to ensure a smooth handoff from sale to project — setting accurate expectations every step of the way
- Track estimates, follow-ups, and closed jobs to stay organized and on top of your pipeline
- Represent Mindful Painting with professionalism, warmth, and integrity in every interaction
- Identify opportunities to grow relationships with past customers through follow-up and referral outreach
What We're Looking For
First and foremost, we're looking for a good person — someone with strong values, genuine integrity, and a natural ability to connect with people. The technical side of this role can be learned. Character can't be taught.
Beyond that, the right candidate brings:
- Previous sales experience — home services, contracting, or a similar customer-facing field is a strong plus
- A consultative approach to sales — you listen first, and your recommendations follow from what the customer actually needs
- Strong organizational skills — you manage your time well, follow up without being asked twice, and nothing falls through the cracks
- Comfort in people's homes — you're personable, professional, and know how to make someone feel at ease
- A competitive drive — you want to hit your numbers, and you take it personally when you don't
- Basic familiarity with estimating or a strong willingness to learn our process
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation — you'll be on the road regularly
What You'll Get Out of It
We believe in rewarding people who perform. This role has real earning potential for the right person, and we're committed to setting you up to succeed.
- Competitive base pay plus performance-based commission — your effort directly drives your income
- Uncapped growth potential — as we grow, this role grows with us
- A team that supports your success — you won't be thrown to the wolves; we work together
- Training on our estimating process and systems — we'll make sure you have everything you need to hit the ground running
- A seat at the table — this is a key role in a growing company, and your impact will be felt
- PTO accrual starting immediately!
This Role Is Right For You If...
- You genuinely enjoy meeting new people and building relationships
- You're self-motivated and don't need someone looking over your shoulder
- You take pride in doing things the right way, even when no one is watching
- You're hungry to grow — professionally and financially
- You want to be part of a company that's going somewhere and bring people along for the ride
