The Toasted Pickle is an artisan sandwich shop located near downtown Grand Rapids where everything is made from scratch every day! We have an experienced team all around and like to have fun at work while also putting out amazing food with great service.
We are looking for motivated individuals who work well in a team environment, don't mind working in an open kitchen, and are willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
Duties
- Managing FOH and BOH staff. This including motivating the team, observing issues and addressing them quickly, as well as keeping high standards in the shop.
- Working with the ownership closely to improve operations, quality, and manage costs.
- Checking in on customers throughout the day to ensure everyone has a good experience.
- Placing orders for supplies and ingredients.
- Learning every job in the store and willing to do any job that's needed including doing dishes.
- Training staff.
- Building a weekly schedule.
- Ensuring all health department regulations are followed.
We have a small, experienced staff at the Toasted Pickle where most staff is cross trained on every duty in the store. This is a very hands-on management job where you will be working closely with staff every day, often working FOH expo or taking orders while not working on management duties. This is not an office job. We will provide exceptional management training on practically all aspects of running a restaurant.
Previous experience is important. However the most important aspects for an applicant include:
- A positive attitude.
- Strong leadership skills.
-A desire to learn and be coachable.
We are a family-run restaurant, not a chain. Ownership is highly involved and will work closely with managers to ensure they have the tools needed for success.
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
