Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Security Officer who is fluent in Spanish to join our dedicated security team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across our facilities by monitoring premises, managing access points, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and property. Duties
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct regular surveillance patrols to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by verifying identification and issuing passes
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR if necessary
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct conflict management to de-escalate tense situations effectively
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents as required
- Conduct loss prevention activities by identifying theft or vandalism and reporting findings accurately
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, and security checks to ensure thorough documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields
- Certification in first aid and CPR from recognized organizations
- Strong surveillance skills with experience using CCTV systems (Closed-Circuit Television)
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques and de-escalation strategies
- Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish to effectively interact with diverse populations
- Familiarity with loss prevention methods and security procedures is highly desirable
