Duties
- Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Maintain clean and sanitized kennels, cages, and common areas to promote health and hygiene
- Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming, medical procedures, or routine checks
- Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization skills
- Support veterinary technicians by observing animal conditions and reporting any concerns promptly
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning to keep animals comfortable and healthy
- Offer pet sitting services by caring for animals in their owners’ absence, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism
Requirements
- Prior experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, or pet care setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling skills is essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving animals or supplies
- Strong understanding of animal restraint methods to ensure safety during procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Passion for animal care combined with a positive attitude and energetic work ethic
