Irrigation Technician – Weber, Davis & Salt Lake County
About the Role
Simplified Landscaping is seeking Irrigation Technicians to join our growing team across Northern Utah. You'll diagnose, repair, and optimize irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties—learning new skills, building expertise, and working with modern equipment in a professional environment that invests in your growth.
Year-Round Position: Spring/summer focused on irrigation service and system optimization; fall/winter includes snow removal operations.
What You'll Actually Do
- Inspect irrigation systems and identify leaks, inefficiencies, and repair needs
- Repair, adjust, and replace system components (valve assemblies, controllers, drip lines, etc.)
- Communicate clearly with customers about issues and solutions
- Adjust controllers and system schedules based on seasonal/weather requirements
- Complete service routes efficiently and maintain detailed records
- Problem-solve on the job and proactively flag upcoming issues
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work record
- Perform snow removal operations during winter months
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of irrigation experience (troubleshooting and hands-on repair)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass background check
- Ability to pass drug test
- Clean driving record
- Strong communication skills (written/oral)
- Comfortable with basic computer/mobile app use
- Physically capable: standing, walking, climbing, bending, working with hand/power tools
- Problem-solving mindset—you take ownership of solutions
Growth Opportunity
We're expanding our leadership team and actively developing Irrigation Supervisor roles. Proven technicians with strong work ethic and customer communication can move into supervisory and crew lead positions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
