Madison Magic Soccer Club is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Soccer Coach to join our team. This position is instrumental in providing a high-quality, positive soccer experience for our 12U Boys Competitive Team. The ideal candidate will inspire, mentor, and develop young athletes, instilling values such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, while fostering a love for the game.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Player Development
● Design and deliver age-appropriate training sessions aligned with the club’s curriculum and philosophy.
● Teach technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical fitness in a safe, engaging, and structured environment.
● Provide individualized feedback and encouragement to players to enhance their growth and performance.
● Evaluate player progress and contribute to team selections for matches and tournaments.
Game Management
● Prepare players for competition by instilling club style of play and tactical principles.
● Coach teams during matches, ensuring player rotations and substitutions align with development goals.
● Foster a positive game-day atmosphere that encourages sportsmanship and respect for referees, opponents, and teammates.
Communication & Administration
● Maintain open and consistent communication with parents, players, and club staff regarding schedules, expectations, and progress.
● Collaborate with Madison Magic Leadership to implement club-wide initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
● Manage attendance records, player evaluations, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Safety & Compliance
● Ensure all training sessions and matches adhere to safety standards and guidelines.
● Be familiar with emergency protocols and act responsibly in case of injuries.
● Maintain certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, SafeSport) and comply with all background checks and child safety regulations.
Club Representation
● Act as an ambassador for the club, promoting a culture of inclusivity and positivity.
● Participate in club events, such as tournaments, tryouts, and community outreach programs.
● Represent the club professionally in interactions with players, parents, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
● Experience coaching youth soccer at recreational, competitive, or academy levels.
● Strong understanding of soccer fundamentals, player development principles, and coaching techniques.
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
● Ability to motivate and connect with young athletes.
Preferred:
● Playing experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level.
● USSF Grassroots or “D” License or equivalent
