Summary: microscope-aided painting and parts assembly, part-time
Hey, crafter / maker! Can you paint the inside of a button hole?
Now imagine doing it under a microscope, with a very specific paint thickness, exactly the same way 100 times in a row. If that sounds like something you would enjoy doing, this may be an ideal role for you.
The Role:
As an Technical Painting Artist / Maker you will handle delicate technical ceramics, applying metal-based paints in a consistent and precise method while using a microscope. You will also perform hand assembly operations on components, printed circuit boards, or subassemblies using technical drawings, visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions. Unpacking, cleaning, and repacking parts, plus helping to keep the work area clean is part of the job. Additionally, you’ll learn how to collect scientific data from testing tools and record it for use by engineers. This is a hands-on operator position in a quiet, light manufacturing facility.
***CLOSE-WORK CRAFTERS AND JEWELRY ARTISTS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. PLEASE NOTE YOUR MAKER EXPERIENCE ON YOUR RESUME/APPLICATION***
