Our practice is seeking a team oriented, experienced certified medical assistant who has a positive attitude for our Chattanooga and Cleveland Tennessee location. This position wil require versatility and mobility between our Chattanooga and our Cleveland office location to meet staffing needs. Primary hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30 am – 4:30 with the possibility of occasional Fridays.
Primary Duties Include:
- Measuring and recording vital signs, including temperature, height, weight, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
- Recording patient interviews, history, and medication reconciliation at each visit.
- Performing basic prep and administration of injectable medications as directed by care providers.
- Maintaining equipment, stocking supplies and preparing exam rooms.
- Performing accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
- Assisting with patient messages received by phone or patient portal along with responding in a timely manner.
- Submitting prior authorizations to insurance companies.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Assisting clinical physicians and advance practice providers.
Other Requirements:
Professional appearance along with good verbal and written communication skills. Able to multi-task and work independently. Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
Experience:
- Certified Medical Assistant: 2 years
- EMR System: 2 years
- Medical Terminology :2 years
License/Certifications:
- Current Medical Assistant Certification
- BLS Certification
Electronic Health Record experience required, experience in eMD’s preferred,
